i volunteered in marine mammal preparation and stranding in the the department of ornithology and mammalogy at the california academy of sciences. over four years, i prepared more than 400 specimens for calacademy collections, contributed to the skulls exhibit, and assisted in the articulation of an offshore orca and a harbor porpoise "puzzle."
